It’s officially official — after months and months of searching and running into hilarious snags at every turn, we finally have our own secular tiny wedding “chapel” in DC where we can host the most fun weddings on the planet!

Since we’ve started offering Styled Popups, so many of you have wanted to have slightly larger weddings, indoors, so that no matter what the crazy DC weather of the day is, you’ll be all comfy in a beautifully styled space. Plus, while many of our couples are thrilled to have a guest list of 10 or fewer, many of you also wanted to be able to include more family members! And on all counts, we’re with ya. Our new space will be able to host up to 20 guests in any weather, and we’ll be able to host weddings there anytime. In fact, if you bring your own license on a Friday between 12-5p, Steven can marry you on the spot! (On-the-spot weddings include ceremony only, no photography since our photographers have different schedules.)

Where is it?

Our “brick and mortar” space is part of the amazing artist community at the Off The Beaten Track Warehouse over in Northeast — and our neighbors include florists, letterpress craftspeople, and so many other cool artists (we can’t wait to start collaborating with everyone!). The light is amazing, there’s exposed brick everywhere, and Steven even painted part of our logo as a giant mural on the wall. So…we’re pretty stoked.

Can I visit?

If you’re intrigued and want to come visit, our doors will be open every Friday in November from 12-7p (except the Friday after Thanksgiving, as we’re guessing you’ll be hanging out with family!). We have local beer and…candy…come on over!

Ok, I took this photo with my phone so it’s a little off…but LOOK at that light! How could I not share it?!?

When can I get married there?

You can have your wedding at the new space anytime, pending our team’s schedule! And, if you’re having an outdoor Pop! Wedding, it’s a perfect rain location.

What will the photo session look like?

We’ll be able to grab some great photos in the space, and then there’s some pretty greenery in the surrounding area, plus a little residential area. However, for weddings at the new space, based on our couples’ feedback, we’ll plan to do a slightly shorter portrait session so that we can also snap some candids of you all with your families! And, the backdrop is perfect for family formals, too.

Will the backdrop change?

Yes! Every 4-8 weeks we’ll have a different style of backdrop in the space. We won’t be able to custom make backdrops for individual couples, but you’re definitely welcome to request a certain style (like, plant-based backdrops, or bright colors) — depending on the timing, we’ll likely be able to accommodate style requests.

Is my dog allowed?

YES! We’re so excited to allow dogs since we have a lot of couples who want to include their pet. Our space is totally dog friendly, bring us those pups!

Is it near a metro? Is there parking?

It’s definitely by some train tracks (trains go by a couple times an hour, and can occasionally be loud — but you’ll be able to hear Steven regardless!). There isn’t a metro nearby, but we don’t recommend using Metro for any of our weddings since it’s pretty unreliable with what time it’ll get you places, and lateness doesn’t work out very well for us. But there’s usually at least 4-6 street parking spaces, and plenty more around the corner.

Whew, ok I think that’s all the pertinent details for now. Ask any questions you might have in the comments, or email us — we can’t wait to show you all around!

  1. I love your chapel. We are looking at January to elope. Is your pricing for the chapel the same as your other packages?
